About Me:

Janice Phelps Williams is an artist, illustrator and writer (Open Your Heart with Pets: Mastering Life through Love of Animals, DreamTime Publishing 2007). She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Kent State University and art has always been at the center of family life. She is the mother of two grown sons and is also editor-in-chief of Lucky Press, a publishing company. Working with authors throughout the world, she has acted as a book shepherd on over 200 projects. She maintains blogs on pet ownership and creativity and offers creative workshops on art and publishing as well.
Janice is married to Mark V. Williams, also a writer, and they live in the beautiful Appalachian foothills of Southeastern Ohio with three dogs (Jackie the Chihuahua, who is often featured in drawings, Tyler the Pekingese, and Farley the friendly dog) plus a parrot named Gracie.

Many of my drawings feature Jackie my Chihuahua who loves to knit, hoards yarn, falls asleep on the couch watching Frasier reruns, and dreads getting on the scale at the end of winter.
