Sean said… - The oil pencil stays on really really well no sealer neede; and they layer great. You can put color on top of color (for highlights or shadows) They are just fun to work with. I was also thinking that black cardstock was too thin. I am going to experiment with black gesso on illustration board. Then use the pencils on that. I will post my results

I use Prismacolors as well. Both the Verithin and the softer kind. I also use Walnut Hollow oil pencils. They are usually used on wood but they do Great on paper. I'm ready to trade anytine you are ;-) I wish I was half as good a draftsman as you.

Actually looking at your awesome lightning bug jars made me want to try colored pencil on black cardstock. . The way you rendered the glass was phenomenal
