Lets Trade!!

What fun these trades are - but I need some tips on how people are tracking who they are trading with, and what they have received. Any hints?
Also, is everyone removing their traded cards from the photo gallery or are they just leaving them with a traded sign.
Thanks everyone, Mim

Hi Mim, I've created a table on the computer to record who I've sent out to whom and when, and what I received in return. Also, I've left my cards on my page but am putting traded next to the ones that are no longer available. Did you get my cat card by the way?

Well I actually need to keep better track myself... I recommend keeping a little notebook to write down everything. When you are going to trade with someone write down their name and address and what card you are giving them and what card you are suppose to recieve. Also write down the date. Then when you send yours put a check mark next to the name of the card you sent to show you mailed it... then when you recieve theirs put a check mark by the name of their card and write "Traded"! or something like that!

When you upload photos just put "Available" somewhere in the title... then when someone wants it put "Taken" in the place of available. I like to keep all of my photos up so people know what I have made! Hope this all helps!

I track all of my trades in an Excel file on my computer. I include the persons screen name, real name, address, where I met them (here, atcartds.com, etc), how many cards we are trading, what cards (if known), postage cost (this helps when shipping over seas in the future), when I sent mine out, when I received theirs. After I ship mine I highlight all of the title cells and color them yellow, when I receive theirs I highlight all of the information cells and color them green. This allows me to scroll down my list of active trades and see who still owes me cards and who I still owe cards to. I have used this system since my very first trade and it has worked out well for me. I can look back and get addresses and see what cards went to whom.

I've also created an excel spreadsheet with the information - it really does help!
